The Australian Centre for ARFID (TACA) in conjunction with Lively Eaters Feeding Therapy is pleased to offer a specialist pathway for children and young people experiencing Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).

The assessment process brings together ARFID assessment and diagnostic expertise with a multidisciplinary team including Paediatrics, Psychology, Dietetics and Speech Pathology, providing families with a coordinated pathway from assessment and diagnosis through to individualised recommendations and therapeutic support.

ARFID can present in many different ways and can have a significant impact on a child’s nutrition, eating, emotional wellbeing, family life and participation.

Children and young people can access specialist assessment to explore whether their eating presentation is consistent with ARFID and where appropriate receive a formal diagnosis.
